While traditionally used for applying acid flux to plumbing joints, these disposable acid brushes are incredibly versatile around the shop or in the home. Made with natural horsehair bristles, they’re perfect for spreading glue in tight spaces, applying glue to woodworking joints (and cleaning it off), applying paint or finish to small, confined areas, applying paste grease in hard-to-reach areas, cleaning delicate surfaces like camera lenses or keyboards, and handling small craft glue-ups. Though considered disposable, each brush can often be cleaned and reused several times depending on the task. Available in three sizes-1/4", 3/8", and 1/2"wide-to suit a variety of applications.
To get the most from these brushes when applying glue to joinery, give the crimped portion of the handle an extra squeeze with pliers or a light hammer tap, then trim the bristles to half their length. This helps prevent shedding and gives you much better control during application. The bristles can also be trimmed at an angle for getting into corners.
Handles are made from rolled tin coated metal and 5-1/4" long, bristles are 3/4" long, with an overall length of 6"
