3M™ Scotch-Brite™ have numerous uses in the woodshop. They are durable, washable and won't breakdown and leave particles everywhere like steel wool, so they won’t leave rust specks in water-borne finishes. They are great for removing rust, scuffing a finish, using as an applicator pad for applying wipe on finishes and for polishing metal.
3M™ Scotch-Brite™ hand pads come in 4 grades: 7440 Heavy Duty (Tan), 7447 General Purpose (Maroon), 7448 Ultra Fine (Grey) and 7445 Light Cleaning (White).
