Description
Originating from Europe, these spindle gouges gained a reputation for their superb handling qualities on spindle work. Being a forged construction, they have an even wall thickness, thereby increasing finesse without compromising strength. Made from high speed steel and then properly hardened and tempered. They will keep a sharpened edge about six times longer than carbon steel and resist "blued" softening from overheating during grinding or from heavy turning. Tools comes with hard White Ash handle and brass ferrule.
