These Easy Wood Tools Faceplate Rings work with most 4-jaw chucks on the market and were designed to allow turners to keep their chucks on the lathe while quickly, and easily, swapping between projects and turning steps.
They are made from nickel plated cold rolled steel for superior strength and durability. All faceplate rings are a full 1/2 inch thick. Faceplate Rings have 6-8 counter sunk holes that accept #10 screws. Each faceplate ring comes with a starter set of 1-1/2 inch wood screws.
The inside of the ring has a 10 degree dovetailed clamping surface for a strong and secure hold when installed in lathe chuck jaws. Simply mount a faceplate ring to your blank and then install in your chuck - it's that easy.
Easy Wood Tools Faceplate Rings come in 3 sizes:
1) 3 inch outside diameter - fits jaws with clamping diameter of 2-1/16 inch, with minimum closed diameter of 1-7/8 inch;
2) 4-1/2 inch outside diameter - fits jaws with clamping diameter of 2-1/16 inch, with minimum closed diameter of 1-7/8 inch;
3) 6 inch outside diameter - fits jaws with clamping diameter of 4-1/4 inch, with minimum closed diameter of 4 inches.
All faceplate rings are a full 1/2 inch thick.
